Teddy Vaughn Morton, 76, of Bristow, Oklahoma, passed away on Nov. 26,2025.He was born on Feb. 26, 1949, to Marvin “Pete” Morton and Alta Morton in Bristow, where he grew up and graduated from Bristow High School in 1967.
On Aug. 3, 1968,Ted married Susan McArthur, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Together they raised three children, Lori, Jeff, and Karen—building a family rooted in devotion and resilience.
Ted dedicated his career to the oilfield, working tirelessly before retiring as the owner of Morton Production. Beyond his work, he found joy in fishing, playing golf, taking road trips with Susan, and collecting oilfield memorabilia. His greatest happiness came from time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Morton; his son, Jeff Morton and wife Kris; his daughter, Karen Barnum and husband Matt; his brother, Chris Morton and wife Cindy; five grandchildren, Jordan Evans, Cody Evans, Shelbi Tatarian, Cole Barnum, and Corinne Morton; and two great-grandchildren, Kayden Evans and Talon Evans. Teddy was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Lori Morton.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025 at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
