Paul Laverne Nedlose,

January 22, 1946 - July 11, 2024

Paul Laverne Nedlose was born Jan. 22, 1946, to Hans Christian and Otillia Mary Nedlose in Oregon, Wisconsin. He departed this life July 11, 2024, at the age of 78.

He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1975 during the Vietnam War.

On August 23, 1968, Paul Nedlose and Amanda Abbott were united in marriage. From this union were born three sons, Paul Jr., Robert, and Rodney.

Paul owned and operated the Bristow Shooter’s Shop. He was involved in the community serving as Santa Clause during the Polar Express and Christmas Unwrapped. He was also a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, leader of the Royal Rangers, and a reserve officer for the City of Bristow and Creek County Sheriff ’s department.

When Paul wasn’t working, he had several interests including riding motorcycles and flying airplanes. Both Paul and Amanda obtained their pilot’s license and enjoyed flying together whenever time allowed. He was a friend to many, especially his loyal customers.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Amanda Nedlose; two sons, Paul Nedlose Jr. and wife Diana, Rodney Nedlose and wife Cherri; one sister, Carolyn Zwiefel; nine grandchildren, Megan Vann, Caitlin Hamil, Chris Johnson, Cory Nedlose, Cody Nedlose, Kelly Nedlose, Madison Nedlose, Brihanna Wade, and Nicole Rhoden; nine great grandchildren, Stetson Johnson, Briar Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Elliott Nedlose, Theodore Nedlose, Finley Hamil, Valerie Clark, Wyatt Clark, and Maverick Rhoden; one great grandchild, Kaylin Hamil. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Robert Nedlose; four brothers, Jerome, Rodney, Teddy, and Dewayne Nedlose; two sisters, Audrey Turk, and Patsy Waldorf.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Freedom Church in Sapulpa. Interment followed at Magnolia Memorial Gardens. Services are under the care of Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
