Otis Calvin Johnson was born Aug. 26, 1969, to Robert and Elizabeth Johnson in Tulsa. He departed this life June 3, 2021 at the age of 61.
He worked in construction specifically putting together large commercial steel buildings. He also spent time working at the Brewster Ranch.
Otis enjoyed fishing, riding bikes with his family and camping for extended periods. His life evolved around Shelly and his children. He also was known for his servant heart, always willing to help others in need. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his partner in life, Shelly Pipkin; six children, Tayla Johnson, Terrance Brown, T’keyona Johnson, Otis Johnson, Jamar Johnson and Keaton Johnson; four siblings, Bobby, Tony, Clarence and Shara Johnson; eight grandchildren and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
