August 16, 1950 - February 28, 2022
Louise M. Myers, 71, of Bristow, passed away in loving arms on Feb. 28, 2022.
Louise was born to Louis and Eleanor Walters on Aug. 16, 1950, in Silver Spring, Maryland. She was a 1969 Wheaton High graduate.
Louise was a proud mother who loved her children unconditionally. She loved baking cakes, sewing clothes, riverside picnics, playing hide and seek and cooking dinners for them.
Louise, an adventurer with no boundaries, loved to drive, making many road trips from Michigan to West Virginia, her parent’s favorite vacation place. Driving led her to a short stint of truck driving, taking her around the country and landing her in Bristow in 1993. KWIKSET was her next adventure until the doors closed in 2004. She attended NSU achieving her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Science. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was surrounded by many loving people.
Louise was loving and free spirited and won the hearts of many whom she met. She gave her heart and home to anyone in need. This loving spirit was not only for humans, but dogs as well. This love led her to be involved in CASA and also to take in lost dogs needing a home. She loved flowers, often stopping on the side of the road to gather some to take home. Hummingbirds and butterflies brought her much joy. She spent hours on her patio watching them flutter about.
Louise loved her Oklahoma friends as if they were family and their friendships meant the world to her.
Louise is survived by her husband, Robert Myers; four children, Michael, Teresa Ann, Chris and Mellisa; three brothers John, Leo and Dwight; one sister, Marge; six grandchildren, Cara, Joseph, Lea, Nick, Tyler, and Stephanie; two greatgrandchildren, Delaney and Penelope.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
