Jerry Wayne Henderson was born Sept. 13, 1968 to Jimmy and Laura Henderson in Bristow. He departed this life Jan. 17, 2026 at the age of 57 years.
Jerry was a lifelong Bristow area resident. He attended Bristow public schools graduating with the Class of ’86. Jerry loved the country life. His younger years was spent rodeoing and making just about every Bull riding he could.
Jerry and Linda Davidson were united in marriage October1990. They parted ways after 25 years remaining very close friends. Jerry found happiness in the simpleness of things, He loved to socialize and could talk for hours greeting everyone with a smile but, was content with his John Wayne westerns and Bonanza. Jerry was the biggest jokester, bringing many laughs to family gatherings. He was an avid canasta player who held a special place in his heart for his great Aunt Shirley. Time with his grandkids always brightened his day. A gentle giant with the most loving nature as he mentored as only a Paw Paw could.
Jerry is survived by his mom, Laura Henderson; children, Jennifer Newell and husband, Shane; Jack Henderson and wife Jozelyn; two brothers, James Edward Henderson and Johnny Ray Henderson and wife Michelle; one granddaughter, Journie and three grandsons Andyn, Axtyn and Zayne; mother to his children and longtime friend, Linda Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his dad, maternal grandparents, Margaret and Elvis Connor and paternal grandparents, Jack Henderson and Irene Weiser Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Chapel.
