Jeremy Ace Fortney

October 12, 1969 - March 4, 2022

Jeremy Ace Fortney was born Oct. 12, 1969, to Jerry and Mary Fortney in Enid. He departed this life March 4, 2022, at the age of 52.

He graduated from Bristow High School in 1987. While he was in high school, he attended Central Area Vo-Tech studying to be an electrician. He worked for several years as a self-employed electrician as well as other companies.

On Nov. 23, 2015, Jeremy Fortney and Tina Jackson were united in marriage. He always had a love for motorcycles, from a moped to a Kawasaki Aero to his Harley Davidson. He was a pretty good bronc rider in his twenties, until he broke his neck in an accident. Jeremy was very creative and expressed himself artistically. He made some cool figurines made from copper scraps that he was proud of. He had a wonderful ability to make something from nothing. His true joy came from spending time with his sons.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Fortney; mother, Mary Fletcher; father, Jerry Fortney, and wife Sara; three sons, Chandler Fortney, Asa Fortney, Seth Fortney; three stepchildren, Chris Wilson and wife Casey, Takiyah Allen and D.J. Allen; three siblings, Deana Fortney and partner Brad Petty, Luke Fortney and wife Dana, Susan Banks and husband Kevin; five nieces and nephews, Macee Sandford, Brock Banks, Charitee Elias, Lucas Fortney, and Brook Banks; one grandson, Christopher Wilson Jr.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022, at Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the First Church of God with Reverend Brent Hinkle officiating.

Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
