July 18, 1940 - December 20, 2025
Hazel Charlene Dunlap, age 85, was born on July 18, 1940, to Dalton and Hattie Saul in Bristow. She passed away peacefully on Dec. 20, 2025, at her home in Bristow, surrounded by her loving family.
Charlene graduated from Kellyville High School in 1958. On Sept. 5, 1959, she married the love of her life, Sam Dunlap, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, and devotion. From their union came three children: Chris, Kerry, and Paula.
Charlene and her family lived in Stonebluff, Oklahoma, from 1968 until 2006, then moved to Bristow where they remained. She was a faithful member of Bristow First Baptist Church, where her gentle spirit and steadfast faith were evident to all who knew her.
She found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life—cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, and sharing lunches with her dear friends. Above all, Charlene cherished time spent with her family. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and unconditional love.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Sam Dunlap; her three children, Chris Dunlap and wife Terri, Kerry Dunlap and wife Brenda, and Paula Roberts and husband Bobby; six grandchildren, Jodi Dunlap, Lauren James, Chelsea Roberts, Sam Dunlap, Michelle Duffield, and Chris Michael Dunlap; and five great grandchildren, Kyson James, Kolby Browning, Keylee James, Savvy Dunlap, and Jack Duffield. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Rebecca Cloud; and one grandson, Jesse Roberts.
