January 26, 1952 – October 23, 2025
Freddie Caudle was born Jan. 26, 1952 and he died on Oct. 23, 2025. He was the son of William Frederick Caudle and Effie D. Crawford Caudle. He grew up in Bristow and graduated from Bristow High School in 1970. He participated in French Club and Mu Alpha Theta (this is a math club). When he died, he was 73 years old and he died at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Freddie joined the national guard in 1971 and he became a second lieutenant. He had his picture made with then Governor Boren.
Later, he became commander of the Bristow unit of the National Guard. Then later he was commander of the National Guard at Tulsa and then later he was the commander of the National Guard in Bartlesville.
Freddie was an artillery officer. He had a deployment to Germany. Serving in the army was one of his greatest honors.
For a short time, he was an auxiliary police officer with the Tulsa Police Department. For his career, he worked for the Tulsa Fire Department. He joined the fire department in 1978. In this capacity, he worked as a paramedic. On his days off from the fire department, he rode with EMSA. Even after his retirement, he still served as a firefighter and a paramedic. Every year, he would take his family to Texas so he could work at the Nascar races as a firefighter and paramedic.
Fred had a passion for collecting fire and police patches, going fishing and attending Caudle family reunions.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kimberly Elizabeth Caudle and one daughter, Jennifer Grace Caudle Bussell and husband Travis, one grandson, Hunter Allan and soon to arrive granddaughter, Hope Elizabeth. Freddie had one sister, Letha Grace Caudle, of Bristow.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Frederick and Effie Caudle and one daughter Sandra Dorothy Caudle.
Freddie's funeral was held on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in downtown Tulsa. Graveside rites were at Floral Haven Cemetery.
