Arlen Sonny Bucktrot was born Jan. 19, 1970 to Wade and Evelyn Bucktrot in Claremore,. He departed this life Sept. 27, 2024 at the age of 54.
Arlen, known by all as “Toons”, was a graduate of Bristow High School. He remained in the Bristow area moving to Wetumka before settling in Tulsa where he had lived the last four years. Toons worked as a general laborer for a short time. He had a very artistic mind and lent his talents to drawing; semi-trucks were his specialty. Toons loved to write and receive letters through the mail. He found much enjoyment in this. Casinos were his place to go for a night out when not gathered with family and friends. Toons was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing basketball, watching the OU Sooners, Dallas Cowboys and was a WWE wrestling superfan. There was always a soft spot in his heart for his dogs. He shared a special bond with his pets. He was a member of the Sand Creek Ceremonial Grounds.
Arlen “Toons” Bucktrot is survived by his father and many aunts and uncles, as well as Numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Evelyn and two brothers, Gary and Lester Bucktrot.
Wake Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024 at the Kialegee Community Center. Services followed at 1 pm, Wednesday Oct. 2, 2024 also at the Community Center. Condolences may be made to the family at www.matherlyfu-
