CENTENARIANS OF OKLAHOMA was proud to honor Bristow resident, Bunny Baker, on the occasion of her 100th birthday celebration and induct her into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame. She had a career as a bookkeeper before her retirement in 1980. She has been a member of the Bristow Round Up Club, Bristow Country Club, First Church of God, Women's Missionary Society and a Bowling League. Her hobbies have been gardening, crocheting, painting and playing games. She found time to join the Hospital Auxiliary, teach Sunday School for 33 years and volunteer at the Bristow Historical Society where she was awarded a certificate bestowing upon her the title of 'Historian Extraordinaire.' Looking back on 100 years of living, Bunny mentions memorable changes, such as electricity, running-water, outdoor toilets, covered wagons, Model T and Model A, the invention of the telephone, typewriters and computers. She shares these words of wisdom with us: 'Work hard and treat others like you would like to be treated.'
