Dinosaurs are stomping into summer as Bristow Library launches its 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story,” running from June 1 through July 1. Readers of all ages are invited to participate in a month full of books, dinosaurs, activities, and special events designed to encourage literacy and family fun throughout the summer.
Participants can preregister now and start logging minutes read beginning June 1 through the Beanstack app or by visiting bristowlibrary.beanstack.org. Readers will track and log their reading minutes throughout the program to earn prizes and participate in summer activities.
This year’s dinosaur-themed program includes weekly events for children, teens, and families:
• Tuesdays at Noon - Bristow Housing Authority Outreach Storytime • Wednesdays at 10 a.m.& 2 p.m.Special Guest Presenters and Storytime
• Thursdays at Noon - Jurassic Club
• Thursdays at 2 p.m. - Family Movie
• Fridays at 4 p.m. - Teen Programs The program will conclude with a special End-of-Summer Reading Party on July 1st at 10 a.m., featuring a giant foam party and free snow cones for participants and families. Summer reading programs help students maintain reading skills during school break while encouraging a lifelong love of learning and literacy. Community members of all ages are encouraged to join the adventure and “unearth a story” this summer.
