Search warrant yields marijuana and guns

On Thursday, April 30, 2026, OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Teams (MET) served a Search Warrant at Sunray Pharms, 14517 W. Highway 66 in Sapulpa, as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

“Our MET Agents have found evidence of black-market distribution, obtaining their OBN Registration by fraud through a ‘straw ownership’ scheme, untagged marijuana plants, and plants with tags that do not belong to this business,” said OBN PIO Mark Woodward OBN MET Agents seized 286 marijuana plants, 77 pounds of processed marijuana, and four guns. Arrests are pending as this investigation continues.

Several agencies assisted OBN MET Agents today, including the Creek County Sheriff ’s Office, Sapulpa Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and Investigators from the District 24 Drug Task Force.

In 2021, OBN established full-time statewide Marijuana Enforcement Teams (OBN MET) to address the escalating presence of criminal organizations setting up marijuana operations in Oklahoma. OBN MET Agents have targeted operations tied to black market trafficking and obtaining an OBN Registration by fraud using 'straw ownership' schemes.

At the end of 2022, 8,400 farms were operating with an active OBN Registration. As of today, that number stands at less than 1,400 grows with an active OBN Registration.

Since 2022, OBN MET Agents have seized over 2.2 million illegal marijuana plants, more than 290,000 pounds of processed marijuana, and made over 400 arrests with additional arrests pending as many of these investigations remain ongoing.
