Sandra Sue Nichols was born Dec. 5, 1945 to Mack and Ethel Rosson in Tulsa. She departed this life Feb. 2, 2026 at the age of 80 years.
Sandra graduated Cushing High School with the class of 1963, where she was voted most popular student in her senior class. Sandra Rosson and Douglas A. Nichols were united in marriage March 25, 1968. They made their home in Bristow enjoying 48 years together before his passing in February of 2015. Sandra was a steadfast member of The First Church of God for many years. She was sure to have her family by her side every Sunday. Sandra worked various clerical positions over the years.
She was employed with Tulsa Medical Lab as an administrative assistant when she finally decided to move toward retirement. The passing of Doug took her to Shawnee to be closer to Allen. She often found herself at the YMCA with the ladies but cherished most her time with the family and grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by son, Allen Nichols and wife Jill, of Shawnee; three grandchildren, Logan Nichols, Liam Nichols and Grady Smith; sister-inlaw, Linda Noehren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Ethel Rosson; husband, Doug Nichols; brother, Dennis Rosson and infant sister, Nita Lou Rosson. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2026 at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Chapel.
