The Bristow Community Center is proud to announce and celebrate the 2026 Black History Program.
The theme for this event is: “Continuous Improvement through Education at All Ages.”
The program will begin at 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026, and will be held at the Bristow First United Methodist Church, located at 7th & Chestnut. Dr. Ruth Ray Jackson, the 17th President of Langston University— the nation’s western-most and Oklahoma’s Historically Black ollege and University(HBCU) —will serve as the keynote speaker.
With more than 20 years of experience in higher education leadership, Dr. Jackson assumed the presidency in 2024 after serving as Interim President and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Under her leadership, Langston University has earned Carnegie Research designation, secured over $21 million in state funding, launched new academic programs, and renewed its land-grant mission.
Everyone is welcome to attend this event.
This event is co-sponsored by the Bristow Community Center and the Bristow First United Methodist Church.
