Today, we celebrate a major victory in animal welfare. Add Love Pets, a breeding facility in Stroud long criticized for deplorable and unsanitary conditions, has been permanently shut down. Reports show dogs living in feces-filled cages, unkempt, overcrowded, and deprived of basic care.
This successful outcome is thanks to the extraordinary determination of Skiatook Paws & Claws Animal Rescue (SPACAR). SPACAR’s team made call after call and sent email after email—relentlessly pushing for oversight and justice.
That pressure paid off. Earlier this week, thanks to SPACAR’s groundwork, authorities took decisive action: 405 dogs were removed from Add Love Pets in a coordinated operation led by Stroud Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff ’s Office, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Oklahoma Westie Rescue, Tulsa SPCA, and the Humane Society of Tulsa.
While the Department of Agriculture ultimately awarded custody to the Humane Society of Tulsa, it was SPACAR’s unyielding advocacy that set everything in motion.
All 405 dogs are now in the care of professionals and volunteers. Over the coming days, they’ll receive veterinary exams, grooming, vaccines, and the chance to begin the healing process.
This is a powerful win—and proof that when advocates refuse to be silent, real change follows.
Thank you, SPACAR. Your dedication turned concern into action.
Thank you to every person who raised their voice.
Public awareness and pressure played a crucial role.
The closure of Add Love Pets proves that courage, persistence, and community action can end cruelty. Let’s continue to stand up for those who can’t speak for themselves.
