Beware...Ghosts, goblins and ghouls are out tonight

Tonight is the night when all the ghosts, goblins and werewolves, along with a few super heroes, will be out and about trick or treating on Halloween. This year is a little different than previous as no streets will be blocked off for trick or treating. A lot of residents will be open for trick or treating in the neighborhoods, just stay safe and alert for all the little ones that will be out. There will be several businesses and churches that will be holding special activities for the kids. Carrus Lakeside Hospital will be set up in the hospital parking lot with candy for the spooks. Crown Auto is holding a Trunk or Treat from 4-7 p.m. with a special costume contest. First place prize is $50, second is $30 and third is $20. Masonic Lodge on Main Street will have the Haunted House open from dark until whenever the ghosts quit coming. MidWest Grass Station on the corner of First and Chestnut is holding a Trunk or Treat from 6-8 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult fo this one. A night of fun is awaiting the ghouls, so enjoy your Halloween and stay safe.
