Back in the Day By Bunny Baker

Back then

Years ago when this country was young and less populated, people in the rural areas were pretty much cut off from everything. Houses were not close enough to run across the road and visit. Any kind of entertainment was scarce, but they made their own. There were box and pie suppers, church dinners, square dances, and quilting bees. There was not much money and the only thing that was plentiful was work. The day began around 4 a.m. and then breakfast, followed by a long day of work.
