Charles Wesley Dotson was born June 8, 1936, to George and Nelda Dotson in Depew. He departed this life Nov. 7, 2023, at the age of 87.
He graduated from Depew High School in 1955. On Sept. 4, 1955, Charles Wesley Dotson and Faye Alene Looney were united in marriage. From this union were born two children, Diane, and Tommy.
He retired from Miss Elaines Garment factory as a sewing machine repairman. He was a faithful member of the Bristow Holiness Church, which included driving the church bus and operating the church sound system. He especially enjoyed driving the church youth to their camp meetings and activities, they were like family to him. He liked riding his motorcycle and taking road trips as well as

vacations. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of sixty eight years, Faye Dotson; daughter, Diane Van Ness and husband Joe; son, Tommy Dotson and wife Shelli; one brother, Ronnie Dotson; six grandchildren, Cathy Eslick, Wesley Dotson, Matthew Dotson, Joshua Steele, Sarah Steele, Rebecca Caywood, Jeffrey Van Ness, Mark Van Ness, Sherri Washington; 19 great grandchildren, Layton Eslick and wife Shelby, Shae Eslick, Maizie Eslick, Jake Bishop, Brooklyn Davidson, Bradyn Dotson, Kennedy Steele, Jackson Steele, Lincoln Steele, Stephen Mizell, Serenity Green, Matthew Washington, Justice Van Ness, Claire Smith, Litany Bergstein, Kristen Mc-Daniel, Rachel McGregor, Memphis Caywood, and Mercy Caywood; six great great grandchildren, Kadence Eslick, Parker Eslick, Levi Washington, Luke Washington, Paislee McDaniel, and Xaidyn McDaniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Nicholas Dotson, and grandson, Mike Eslick husband of Cathy.
