Experienced economic developers, Steve Gilbert and Rickey Hayes will present their review of Bristow’s SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) to City Council and the public at a public forum October 19.
They will outline and recommend several priorities Bristow’s leadership must consider to successfully recruit new industry, good jobs and retail, commercial and professional services.
Promoting visitors and making our community “shovel ready” and business friendly are examples of multiple competing priorities faced by civic leaders.
We will look at the city’s community amenities, industrial assets and discuss Bristow’s retail and residential potential.
Bristow’s location, its history and quality of life may not be enough to create a competitive advantage versus our competition.
Steve and Rickey will share their perspective and years of experience and identify and discuss many important issues for our elected officials to consider.
This forum will be held Thursday, October 19th 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Bristow City Hall. Interested citizens are invited to attend. It will be live-streamed as well on the City Hall Facebook page.
We will expand seating for a good crowd of engaged residents, business owners, and civic leaders. Everyone is welcome to attend this community forum if you care about the future of Bristow!
This interactive workshop will address Bristow’s building blocks for future growth and identify priorities for City Council’s consideration to market the Bristow community’s competitive advantages.
