Robert Russell Pearman Jr. was born Dec. 21, 1937, to Robert Russell Pearman Sr. and Vera (Purvis) Pearman near Milfay. He departed this life Aug.26,2023 at the age of 85.
He graduated from Milfay High School in 1956. On May 11, 1957 Robert Pearman Jr. and Jean Rich were united in marriage. From this union were born three sons, Bob, David, and Roger.
He retired from Milfay Gas Plant after 49 years of service. He was a member of the Stroud First Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed being outdoors tending to the farm, no matter if it was in the hay field or feeding the cattle.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Pearman; three sons, Bob Pearman and wife Debbie, David Pearman and wife, Carol, Roger Pearman and wife Cassandra; one sister, Nellie Faye Cooper; seven grandchildren, Brandey Fine and husband Dino, Leslie Girard and husband Matt, Travis Pearman and wife Megan, Monica Pearman, Josh Pearman, Rusty Pearman and wife Jennifer, & Megan Ann Pearman; 13 great grandchildren, Joshua, Jae-Lynn, Jenna, Macie, Jaymin, Ryan, Eli, Ava, Addie, Gabe, Ace, Anne, and Russ; two nieces, Shelli Martin and husband Jim, Danna Key and husband Darrel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Uncle Roy Purvis, and nephew, Bryan Mark Cooper.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023 at the Stroud First Baptist Church with interment to follow at the Stroud City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Stroud First Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
