Are you ready for the 4th of July? Wondering where to go? The Sam Varner Memorial Firework Celebration will take place this Saturday, July 1. Bring your blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the afternoon and evening watching the spectacular firework display over Lake Massena. Vendors will be set up for those who might get hungry or thirsty. With good and tasty food, drinks, great music and views, what better way to spend the afternoon and evening. Chris Matthews will be live on stage, (in front of the tennis courts) beginning at 5:30 p.m., ending at 8:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dark.
Also holding its celebration on Saturday, July 1, is the City of Sapulpa. This year’s celebration will take place at Deluxe Property Park, just off Kelly Lane, along with food trucks, live music, give aways, and dance performances by Orations. There will be shuttles in two areas, the golf course and Central Tech. A drone light show will begin around 9 p.m. Last year the light show lasted only nine minutes. This year it is expected to last 20 minutes. You can view the show from Kelly Lane Park or Reasor's parking lot.
Rainbow Nursing Home will hold a firework display for its residents on Friday, June 30, beginning at dark.
The City of Drumright will be hosting its 4th of July celebration on Tuesday night, July 4, starting at approximately 9 p.m. at the Whitlock Park, located at Jones and 2nd Street. Area vendors will be set up.
