Cowboy Poetry is making its way to Bristow. The National Cowboy Poetry Week is always held the third week of April. For the seventh year, the Crossroads Cowboy Poetry Gatherin' will be held on April 28, 29 and 30 at the Crossroads Ranch, 21186 S. 465th W. Ave in Depew. Some of the finest cowboy poets and Old West musicians are going to be in town. Cowboys from Montana, Colorado, Canada, California, Nevada and Texas will be on hand to showcase Old West Music and Cowboy poetry.
There will be great food, including Chuck Wagon meals, and fellowship all weekend long, of course, cowboy style. Music lessons and a Cowboy poetry workshop will be held while sitting around the campfire, along with a Sunday morning cowboy service at the Cowboy Chapel, located on the ranch. On Saturday evening the Cowboy Showcase for poets and musicians will take place at the Venue 66 located at 116 W. 8th Street in Bristow.
The events are free to the public but any size donation is accepted. For more information, contact Dove Morgan at (918) 939-9085.
