Starting in 2009, the Freeland Center for Performing Arts has been home for the holiday concert. This year the concert will be held live at the Freeland Center on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. What a great opportunity to take the whole family and make it a special part of your holiday. The concert will feature all local talent. The show will be performed in two sections. The first part will be secular music with local performers KC Lupp and son, Patrick; Carmen Bruner, Chante Fisher; John and Jessica Tidwell and the Boner Family. The second half will be the story of Christmas told through music, which will include a live nativity scene.
Don and Carol Baker, along with Baker's theater class, are using their theater techniques to help build all sets for the production. Chip Cooper and Chapman Shields are helping in a very big way to make this production a holiday remembrance for everyone. Cooper said, “ It is going to be a beautiful night and we are so happy to show off Bristow's great talent.”
The holiday concert is free to the public. Monetary donations or donations of non perishable food items will be accepted. All proceeds collected go to the Bristow Social Services to help brighten the holidays for the less fortunate.
