Christmas in Bristow begins tonight

Santa will arrive in Bristow tonight to kick off the Holiday Season. From 4 – 9 p.m. Main Street of Bristow will be gleaming with holiday lights and fun activities for all, with a visit from Santa himself. Main Street will be closed this evening during the hours of 4-9 p.m. so please plan your route accordingly.

Local merchants up and down Historic Route 66 will be open during these hours for holiday shopping. So if you are looking for a special or unique gift, the shops up and down Main will have just what you are looking for. Seventh Street from Main to Elm will be full of vendors offering handmade gifts and treats. A live nativity scene of the night Jesus was born will be near the corner of Seventh and Main. Also on Seventh Street, city hall will sparkle with lights and Bristow's official lighting of the Christmas tree, in front of city hall, will happen at 8 p.m. The Bristow Bucks drawing and prizes will be held at city hall at approximately 8:05 p.m.

The “Sounds of Christmas” parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and then we have Santa Claus, who will be at St. George's church on the corner of Seventh and Elm for a meet and greet.

Main Street will surely be active this evening with shoppers and holiday cheer, so bring the entire family and enjoy the kick off of Bristow's Holiday Season.
