The Creek County Fall Fair will open its gate this weekend beginning Thursday, Sept. 22 and run through Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022. The management of the Creek County Fair is in the hands of the Creek County Fair Board, which is composed of three members elected from each Creek County Commissioners district annually for a three year term.
This year the Great Plains Amusement Co. will be having carnival rides like the Spider, Zipper, Tilt-a-Whirl, Sizzler, Bumper Cars, the Ferris Wheel, the G.I. Joe and several more, along with several rides for the younger children.
Individual ride tickets can be purchased at $1 each. Wrist bands will be available, Thursday through Saturday, for unlimited rides for a cost of $30 each. Thursday from 6-10 p.m., Friday 6 -11 p.m. Saturday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. Sunday wristbands are $25 each from 12-5 p.m. The wristbands are only good for the time period in which you purchase them. The bands will be color coated so they can only be used during these time periods in which they are purchased. Family packs are also available at the carnival.
There will not only be exhibits but free concerts to the public on Friday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 5:15 p.m.
A tractor pull will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24 beginning at 5 p.m. at the main arena. These races will include stock, junior stock, modified, super modified, 650 motorcycle, 1200 motorcycle, hot-rod 6 cylinder, super rod 8 cylinder and mini rod 4 cylinder.
If rodeo's is your thing, it will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m, doors open at 6 p.m. The rodeo events will include bareback riding, tie-down calf roping, ladies barrel racing, team roping, junior barrel race, breakaway roping and peewee barrel racing.
With a little something for everyone, the Creek County Fall fair is sure to bring enjoyment to all those that attend.
