Leona B. “Davis” Boswell was born at home Oct. 18, 1936 to Amos and Josie Davis near Kellyville. She received her wings on Aug. 4, 2022, at the age of 85 years.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, R.K. Davis and Jack Davis and half-sister, Oma Mottie Davis. Leona grew up in Slick, where she attended Slick School. She enjoyed riding horses and bicyc les with her friends as a young girl. Later in life Leona was a devoted wife and mother. She met her husband of twenty years in Bristow,Oklahoma. Together they made their home in Slick, raising their three children. Leona had many friends and family who were always welcome for a visit. She loved front porch sitting and telling stories. She worked away from home most of her life but still made time for her loved ones.
Leona is sur vived by her children, Cindy Prather, Ricky Boswellandwife Teresaand Sheila McClintock and husband Bruce; se ven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
Graveside ser vices were held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022 at Old 44 Cemetery near Bristow.
