The Bristow City Council held a special meeting on Monday evening to discuss citizen participation in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 2022 Water and Wastewater Construction Program.
The City of Bristow intends to implement a Citizens Participation program or the application process of the (CDBG), particularly by low and moderate income persons who reside in areas where the CBG funds are proposed to be used.
This will be accomplished by providing timely public notices of CDBG program activites in the local newspaper or by posting at the city/county offices.
This will also be accomplished by adopting a comprehensive CDBG Statement of Needs and by conducting a special public hearing to inform citizens of the proposed 2022 CDBG project.
The city will ensure that citizens will be given reasonable and timely access to local meetings, information and records relating to proposed use of CBDG funds. By formally adopting the Citizen Participation Plan, the City of Bristow council accepts the responsiblility for implementing its provisions.
