Long time council member, Tex Slyman, has decided to bid farewell to city government and retire from the Bristow City Council.
Slyman has been a leader in the community, a dedicated member of the council and Ward 1 and an intricate part of the Bristow community with his leadership while serving on the council. The city council approved and accepted Slyman’s resignation in the Feb. 7 meeting.
A retirement/resignation gathering will take place on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 11:30 a.m. in the city council chambers. If you would like to give Slyman your best wishes for his next journey in life, the gathering is open to the public.
