The Bristow Noon Lions Club will be hosting an educational forum with the intention of helping educate the community of the duties and responsibilities of a city manager vs those of a mayor. The forum will be held on Thursday, February 17, at 5:30 p.m at the Freeland Center for Performing Arts. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
The city council has approved that an election will be held on April 5th when the people will vote as to whether or not the coummunity should keep its current form of government or change to a city mananger-council form of government. The goal of this meeting is to allow our citizens to receive more information on the Council-Manager form of city government. The Rotary simply asks that you remember the Four Way Test

· Is it Fair to all concerned?
· Will it build Goodwill and better friendships?
· Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

1. How do we pay for a City Manager? What is the average pay of a City Manager in Oklahoma? Please go beyond the City Manager salary to include incentives and bonuses, the benefits of Economic development, Efficiencies, Grants and access to a variety of resources, etc…
2. Where does the control of the city lay? We would still elect our City Council who in turn would hire a City Manager
3. What happens to the current elected officials?
4. What would the first things that a City Manager would do for Bristow?
5. What are the qualifications for a City Manager?
