Nancy Van Orden-Saul

November 25, 1946 - January 19, 2022

Nancy Van Orden-Saul, of Bristow, passed away Jan. 19, 2021, at the age of 75 following a long illness.

Nancy was born in Natick, Massachusetts, Nov. 25, 1946, to Barbara Joan Dowell and Robert Charles Van Orden. She had a lifelong love of animals and started a horse business on Cape Cod, Massachusetts before moving to Muskogee, where she continued to specialize in horse bloodline information and the special breed of Andalu sian horses. She was active in several horse organizations and won numerous awards during this time. Nancy was also an active volunteer in political campaigns in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Muskogee and Bristow. She enjoyed raising a special breed of hens in her later years, growing an organic garden, and researching family histories.

She is survived by her spouse, Jerry W. Saul, of the home, three stepchildren: Daniel Saul, of Locust Grove, Georgia, Dale Saul, of Fort Worth, Texas and Kerry Elias, of Bella Vista, Arkansas.

She had five grandchildren and two great grandchildren . Also one brother, David Van Orden of Weymouth, Massachusetts, and one sister Pamela Van Orden of Cupertino, California.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Maurine Van Orden.
