Glen Harold Petersen, “Pete” “PaPete”

May 5, 1943 - January 9, 2022

Born May 5, 1943, in Ashland, Wisconsin, to parents Harold Petersen and Delores Wisner Petersen.

Glen Harold Petersen went to be with his Savior January 9th 2022 at the age of 78.

Pete was preceded in death by his father Harold, mother Delores and his brother Leroy.

He is survived by his wife Irvitta Petersen, brother Leslie and wife Susie, and sister-in-law Rita; children, son Eric and wife Kathy, son Steven and wife Sarah and daughter Rene.

David and wife Libbi, Denise and husband Greg; his grandchildren, Rusty, Beverly, Dillon, Reagan, Brittney, Cooper, Joseph, Scotty, Cris, and Devin. and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Pete proudly served his country both in the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Air Force for a combined 20 years.

He loved being outdoors and his hobbies included hunting and fishing. He spent many years participating in fishing tournaments. He enjoyed tending to his cattle and spending time on his tractor. He rescued and spoiled many dogs over the years.

He is known for always being willing and ready to help family, friends and neighbors.

Pete always greeted friends and family with a “Howdy”, a big smile and bright blue eyes.

He enjoyed playing board games, Dominoes (Moon) and croquet with his family.

He will be honored and laid to rest at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery at a future date.
