Regarding their welcome baskets, a few of the committee members presented three new residents with baskets Monday evening. Recipients included Tammie Craft and instructor, working from 1962 until 1980. He also worked in television and radio repair. They share two fur babies: Junior and Chewy, both chihuahuas.
Moving into the community from Duncan, Joe and Kathy Willeford moved to be closer to their grandkids. The Willefords share ten grandchildren in total, with two residing in Bristow, four in Norman, and four in Woodland Park, Colorado. Their son owns Willeford Construction and is currently remodeling their home. Kathy is a retired schoolteacher, having taught for seventeen years. Joe previously drove a school bus and currently drives for Central Tech. Additionally, Joe was a worship leader at Fair Baptist Church just west of Duncan for seventeen years. Both Joe and Kathy enjoy gardening and were gardening and landscaping at the time the committee welcomed them to their new home.
Finally, Andrew and April Spooner moved to Bristow from Ketchum. They moved after Andrew took the job of pastor at the Bristow Seventh-day Adventist Church. They have four children, ages 8, 9, 11, and 12. The family loves their fur babies, both cats and a dog. April chooses not to work outside of the home, tending to their home, children, and pets. April also disclosed her love of animals and hope to one day run an animal rescue. Having just returned from a youth raft trip, the family felt exhausted but grateful to receive their basket at the time the committee presented it to them.
