Over the past nine years, Muscogee Creek Nation (MCN) has sponsored Football Camps in different school areas within the boundaries. MCN asked for communities to volunteer and help with the camps. The response from the schools and communities was outstanding.
This year, the MCN, conducted camps at five schools. These schools included Okemah, Muskogee, Bristow, Morris and Eufaula.
On June 17, 2021, Bristow had its camp with an overwhelming participation. The planned days, included half day work outs, because of the heat. The camp was open to girls and boys, grades one through 12, at no charge to participants. The participants learned quickness, speed, agility, balance and also received a free health screening from the Diabetes Wellness Program.
The football group was led by Head Coach Thomas Lott, a former professional and college athelete.
