Derrell Boyd Roberts was born Oct. 1, 1940 in Wetumka,. He passed from this life on April 24, 2021, in Bristow.
Derrell was in the U.S. Navy for many years. He worked for Halliburton and was also a brick mason.
Derrell loved to fish and loved playing darts. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He had six children, Paul Hightower and wife Sheila, of Bristow, Eva Boonstra and husband Hank, of Arkansas, Cindy Hogue, of Wagoner, David Carver and wife Joleen, of California, Christina Adney, of Bristow, and Derrell Roberts Jr. of Bristow. He had 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by one grandson, Brendan Robison, his wife Shelby, both of his parents and three brothers.
Services were held May 1, 2021 at the VFW in Bristow. A last ride was done after the funeral services.
