Texas woman loses life in vehicle accident

A personal injury accident occurred on April 9, 2021, at approximately 6:45 p.m. on SH33 near 449th W. Ave., approximately four miles east of Drumright. This collision involved two pick up trucks. A 2000 Chevy 1500, driven by Dylan Gateley, age 22, of Mannford and another 2000 Chevy 1500 driven by James Duncan, age 27, of Stroud. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision. Gateley was not injured but Duncan was taken by Creek County EMSA to the Drumright Hospital, admitted in stable condition.

On April 11, 2021, another personal injury accident happened on SH16, near 433rd West Ave, six miles east of Shamrock. This accident also, is still under investigation. This accident was a one car collision involving a 2012 Dodge Ram driven by Randy Carol Duren, age 69, of Drumright. Seat belts were not in use and the airbags did not deploy. Duren was transported by Creek County EMSA to St. Francis Hospital, in Tulsa, admitted in critical condition.

April 12, 2021, another single car accident occurred on West 241st Street South, 2.5 miles west of Bristow. Sheila Forester, age 56, from Denton Texas, was driving her 2002 Chevy Blazer when for unknown reasons, de parted the roadway, struck a fence, went airborne, struck a tree when the vehicle came to rest in a creek bed. Forester was pinned in the vehicle for an unknown amount of time and was extraced by the Bristow Fire Department using extraction tools. Forester was pronounced at the scene of the accident.
