Normally this week is tax deadline for Americans. This year the IRS and Oklahoma State Tax Commission has extended the deadline for taxes to be filed until Tuesday, June 15. The deadline is for both personal and business tax filings.
The IRS said the deadline extention is for those effected by the storms back in February this year. All 77 counties in Oklahoma. The IRS says there is nothing special or no special request that you will need to do. They automatically know which persons or businesses are in the covered disaster areas.
