Dortha Irene (Willis) Staughan was born on Feb. 12, 1938, to Ermal and Grover Willis in Tahlequah. She departed this life on Dec. 4, 2020, at the age of 82 years, nine months and 22 days.
She was known by most friends as Pat. She was a resident of Tulsa and a graduate of Westville High School.
For many years, Dortha worked for Triple AAA of Southern California before retiring in 2002 and moving back to Oklahoma to be near family. Dortha was very involved in her community after retiring to Tulsa. She was a member of the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, Green Country Women and loved playing bingo with her friends at weekly luncheons and playing Words with Friends on Facebook.
She was a member of the South Tulsa Baptist Church.
Dortha (Pat) is survived by a son, Gary Walker, of Mission Viejo, California and a daughter, Terri Walker, of Tulsa, one granddaughter, Alex Moore of Tulsa; two great granddaughters, Makenzie Moore and Addison Moore, of Tulsa, two brothers, Marvin Willis, of Bristow and Jerry Willis and wife Lee, of Disney, Oklahoma; two sisters, Janet Colvin and husband Bob, and Ruby Willis, all of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and a host of nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by a son, Steve Walker, her parents, Ermal and Grover Willis, brother Leon Willis and three sisters, Geneva Bastin, Judy Sanderson, and Margaret Young.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Mission Baptist Cemetery near Westville, Oklahoma with Chris Ossenbeck officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation in memory of Dortha (Pat) Straughan to the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, 924 S. Hudson, Ave., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74112.
