The City of Bristow, City Park Crew in conjunction with the Bristow Rotary Club and the Bristow City Fire Department, along with the Creek County Extention office will conduct a prescribed burn in a section of Klingensmith Park, but only when the weaher permits. The reason for a prescribed burn is to add nutrients back into the soil and eliminate weeds. Two weeks after the burn, the Rotary Club, who purchased wildflower seeds will sow the new seeds.
All of this special effort by these organizations will provide an abundance of wildflowers for the communities enjoyment and just in time for the 2022 Wildflower 5K Run.
