Tuesday morning around 1 a.m. the Creek County Sheriff 's office and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were called to a scene near the glass plant on New Sapulpa Road. According to reports, a man, fell off his bicycle, hitting his head and died at the scene. Currently it is unclear as to what caused the mans fall and an investigation is still in process. No names were currently released.
A fatality collision occurred on New Year's Eve, in the east bound lanes of the Turner Turnpike in Lincoln County. A 2006 Toyota Tundra, Driven by Nicholas Korff, age 26, from Oklahoma City was driving eastbound and avoided hitting a pedestrian, Thien Tran, age 74, who was standing in the outside lane of trafic, near his vehicle. A 2022 Jeep Gladiator driven by Justin Dobbins, age 46, from Weatherford, was traveling behind Korff, in the Toyota Tundra. Dobbins attempted to avoid hitting the pedestrian but was unable to switch lanes due to traffic, when he collided with the pedestrian. A 2023 Freightline Cascadia, driven by Charles Nielson, age 54, from Gilbert, traveling behind Dobbins, also collided with the pedestrian, Thien Tran. Tran was pronounced at the scene by Survival Flight EMS, and transported to the Medical Examiners office in Oklahoma City. The other three drivers of the vehicles were uninjured.
