With the holidays upon us, several organizations and departments are holding fundraisers to help in making sure families in need also have a Merry Christmas. This year the City of Bristow's Public Safety Departments are holding a Christmas Ornament Challenge, Fire vs. Police. The ornaments will be blue for the police department and red for the fire department. If you do not wish to purchase an emergency colored ornament, other colors will be available for purchase. Ornaments are one for $5 or three for $10. The ornament will be placed on the Challenge Tree located at city hall. Deadline to purchase the ornaments is Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. so hurry on over to city hall and get your ornament. A great challenge and way to help others less fortunate. In addition to helping families, you will also be entered into a drawing to win some great gifts donated by local merchants.
