Frank and Melody Wolbert, owners of The Old Crow Workshop, excitedly announce the opening of The Old Crow Showroom at 121 South Main Street. They wish to celebrate their new showroom with the community by hosting a grand opening event with purchase-free drawings and sales this Memorial Day weekend.
Actually, many in the community may already be familiar with the Wolberts’ work under their “Old Crow” brand as they previously sold their pieces at The Ugly Duckling on west 5th Avenue as a vendor. However, having continued to build and craft unique product, they finally outgrew their booth space, bringing their dreams of opening a local showroom along Main Street to fruition.
Originally from the east coast, the Wolberts moved to Bristow in January of last year. Melody works in a full-time capacity as a teacher for another school district. After retiring last year, Frank now works full-time crafting the beautiful pieces sold by The Old Crow Workshop. Through their business, the Wolberts offer refinished furniture pieces, a variety of home interior items, custom furniture builds, and repur-posed antique and home décor pieces. The Old Crow Showroom will also host a few exclusive art and craft consignment pieces for buyers to purchase.
The quality of Frank’s work along with the setup of their booths and now showroom instantly provides consumers with a comforting feeling of shopping a trusted business venture. The Wolberts confirmed that they previously owned a similar business when they lived along the east coast, noting that they utilize that experience to serve Bristowans in their new ventures here.
Having lived and worked elsewhere previously, Melody noted why they recently chose Bristow after searching in ever-widening circles from their most recent home in Sand Springs: “We wanted to choose a place to settle with family, where we could also begin and grow our business. While driving down Main Street, we felt at ease, picturing ourselves building a home and forging connections with the community. Seeing the mom-and-pop style small businesses throughout the town and feeling welcomed encouraged us to build our own future here.” Although their children are grown, their daughter also plans to move to Bristow this year after she finalizes her education.
The Wolberts welcome the community to meet them and check out their new showroom this weekend for their grand opening. Due to the holiday weekend and grand opening celebrations, the showroom will only be open Friday through Sunday of this week, but beginning in June, showroom hours will be 10:00 to 6:00 from Thursday to Saturday and from 12:00 to 4:00 on Sundays.
