A routine traffic stop turned into a large drug bust for the Mannford Police. An officer spotted a car, without working tailights, driving down Highway 51 at approximately 1 a.m. Thursday morning, Aug. 25 and routinely pulled the car over. When the window of the car was rolled down, the officer could spell the odor of marijuana coming from the car, along with strong odor of alleged scented spray and cigarette smoke.
The person allegedly driving the car told the officer that neither himself or his passenger had any identification or vehicle information. The officer notice several trash bags in the back seat of the car. After searching the car, a total of seven bags allegedly containing 98 individual bags of marijuana were confiscated, totaling 102 pounds with a street value of $120,000.
The driver of the vehicle, Edward White, age 29, along with his passenger, Keyonna Montgomery, age 20, both from Little Rock, Arkansas, were taken into custody and booked into Creek County Jail. White faces multiple alleged charges including false impersonation or impersonating another, as he allegedly gave the officer his brother's name, driving under suspension, trafficking marijuana 25 lbs or more, and possession of CDS; while Montgomery is facing alleged trafficking of marijuana 25 pounds or more, unlawful possession of paraphernalia and possession of CDS.
