Monday, April 10, 2023, William Newman, age 68, from Depew, lost his life in a single car accident.
Newman, driving a 2007 Tahoe, was traveling westbound on the Turner Turnpike, one mile north of Kellyville, when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle departed the roadway, sriking drainage rocks and rolling an unknown amount of times before coming to rest on its top. Newman was pinned for approximately 15 minutes before being freed by a trooper on the scene. Newman was transported by Creek County EMS to St. John’s in Tulsa where medical staff pronounced him deceased from imjuries sustained in the accident.
