For the second consecutive year, Bristow Retail Merchants Association excitedly announces the return of Bristow Bucks and its kick-off event, “Early Black Friday,” this holiday season!
Like last year, Bristow Bucks will kick off during the “Early Black Friday” shopping extravaganza, beginning at 4 p.m., Thanksgiving afternoon. The association notes that last year’s sale resulted in a significant holiday sales boost, which proved the best sales day of the year for some participating businesses.
Attracting shoppers to Bristow and enticing them to buy locally fulfills the association’s prominent goal of supporting local businesses. The “Early Black Friday” event coupled with Bristow Bucks offers customers and businesses a synergistic opportunity for great shopping deals, enhanced sales, and the possibility of winning additional Bristow Bucks to spend locally. Susan Banks, owner of Main Street Market, best described it, saying "When you shop local, the money stays in our community. It supports our families, our businesses, and improves our economy." Although association volunteers organize Bristow Bucks, businesses sponsor both events, providing all Bristow Bucks awards, which can then be spent at those sponsoring businesses.
To earn tickets for prize drawings, shop at participating businesses from Thanksgiving afternoon through the following Thursday, Dec. 2. Check out the Bristow Retail Merchants Association’s Facebook page for a complete listing of participating businesses. Event organizers will draw winning tickets on Dece 3; however, additional information regarding the drawing, including whether winners need be present to win, was not immediately available.
