The Creek County Fair wrapped up on Sunday evening after a three day event at the Creek County Fairgrounds, making its way to the Tulsa State Fair which will run for 11 days beginning Sept. 29 through Oct. 29. The Tulsa State Fair is the largest family event that the city has. Annually held on the fourth Thursday after Labor Day, this historical event is based upon heritage, family values and quality entertainment for all ages. It was first organized in 1903 as the “Tulsa County Free Fair” and developed into the Tulsa State Fair. With the goal of providing an educational and entertaining experience to the community, it has over 100 years of history and continues to stand out as one of the premier fairs in the country. The fair usually attracts over one million visitors.
The Tulsa State Fair offers something for everyone from rides, entertainment, shows, Disney on Ice, cattle grading, various contests, a petting zoo, a birthing center, chainsaw carving, offering too many shows and events to list. Gate admission is $15 for adults, $10 for ages 5-12, senior citizens age 62 plus is $10, military is $10 and anyone under 5 is free. You must present a valid ID at the gate. Various ride passes may be purchsed. The fair is located at the Tulsa Fairgrounds.
