On February 10 the Bristow Stars Pathfinder club hosted a fundraiser spaghetti dinner at the Center of Hope on Main Street. Guestsweremetbya maître de that seated them. Servers offered a choice of beverages. While waiting on their food to be served, guests could help themselves to bread placed on the table. They could also do a word scramble, figuring out scrambled words with a Valentine them. After the meal of spaghetti, green beans & salad, guests were served brownie a la mode. A game between contestants was played to see who could match couples from the Bible, pop culture, and old TV programs. Winners had their choice of a variety of prizes.
There was also a king – Kenny Fisher, queen – June Hurst, prince – Lincoln Medlock, and princess - Bailey Whiting crowned for the evening.
The Bristow Stars are raising money to attend the International Camporee in Gillett, Wyoming this summer. Pathfinders are a worldwide organization of young people sponsored by the Seventh Day Adventist Church, though young people of any religious persuasion or none at all, are welcome to join.
