On July 1, 2021 a letter of appreciation was sent to the City of Bristow and the Bristow Police Department by the Creek County District Attorney, Max Cook. The letter stated:
Dear Mayor Pinson and Bristow City Council Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to commend your leadership of Bristow in the selection of Kendra Raney as Chief of Police. She is doing a great job, and that should not go unnoticed.
I would also like to acknowledge the work being done by Assistant Chief Webster and Detective Wenzel. Detective Jimi Wenzel, Assistant Chief Kevin Webster and Chief Raney have done and are doing great work in several areas. Their efforts are being noticed by other law enforcement agencies, including local, state, and federal. It also appears that those who violate the law may also be noticing and choosing to NOT do their business in Bristow or Creek County. Their work serves to protect not only the people of Bristow (especially children) but those of Oklahoma as well as other states.
I am gratified to see the recent progress the entire police department has made. These three, as well as all of the officers, seem to have pride in their jobs and are doing a good job.
I am sure that you, the police department, and the City of Bristow are proud of the work that Wenzel and Webster are doing under Chief Raney’s leadership. I am pleased that they continue to be valuable members of the District 24 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, and I thank you for the chance to work with them.
Together, we are making a real difference!
Sincerely,
Max Cook
