The Faith Baptist Church, in Slick, held the 5th annual Sheldon Biggs Wagon Train was on Oct 3, 4, and 5, with 12 wagons and 8 to 9 outriders each day. Leaving from the church and driving about 20 miles each day and returning back to the Church late in the afternoon.

City of Bristow has a new city flag, first in history

In Monday's city council meeting, the winner of the Bristow City flag contest was announced. The lucky winner gets a blue ribbon and bragging rights as the designer of the first ever Bristow City flag.

The general election is Tuesday, Nov.5,2024, with the presidential race the main draw. Only one statewide race, the contest to fill the open seat on the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, will be on the ballot.

Aviation program and airport provide unique educational opportunities

Around 12:30 p.m. last Thursday, September 26, Bristow Jones Memorial Airport held a special event for students and members of the public as the Commemorative Air Force, CAF, flew its WWII era Fairchild PT-19 to the facility for exhibition and educational purposes.
