March 29, National Vietnam Veterans Day

In 2012, the President of the United States proclaimed March 29th to be Vietnam Veterans Day. The date was 47 years after the fighting in LZ X-Ray and 48 years after Everett Alvarez Jr. became the first American pilot to be shot down and taken prisoner.

Single car roll over

On Monday afternoon, a single car roll over occurred just west of Bristow, approximately three miles out on Rte 66. Nineteen year old Kaden Patten, of Bristow, lost control of his vehicle causing the vehicle to go through a fence, roll landing on its roof top.
