Each year, the first weekend in May, the City of Bristow holds its annual Wildflower Run. People from all over gather to participate in the run. Young and old, doesn't matter, there is something for everyone and whoever makes the finish line gets a nice prize. Bicycles are given away to the younger runners. In order to be eligible for the drawing, the kids must participate in the workouts, which was done a little differently this year, and must compete and finish the 5K race. The workouts were done a little differently this year. Both Edison Elementary and Collins Elementary participated. The kid runners names are then put into a drawing and two winners are chosen, one girl and one boy. The names are drawn during the awards ceremony during the Tabouleh Festival. You must be present to win.
If you would like to participate in the race, go to RUNSIGNUP.com and mark your calendar for May 10.
